Mars, also known as Melihà, was born and raised originally in Italy, in Latina on the coastline. Her father was the head of a special ploce force going against the mafia in the southern parts of Italy. She was the only daughter and also the youngest child of Frederico and Sienna with two older brothers, Marco and Michaelo. Life was good, despite the constant fear of a bloody revenge plotted by the mafia bosses and members. One can not say Melihà did not have loving parents or nice brothers, yet calling her childhood normal is not a correct thing to say. At the age of four, there was a so-called accident. An unknown person, suspected to be a mafia agent seeking revenge for his either shot or imprisoned brothers, set their house on fire in the middle of the night. The plan was, probably, to burn down the house with the family still asleep in front of Frederico, who was absent and supposed to return home by then. The doors were blocked, making it hard to enter. Yet he eventually found a way in, the first one he saved was his daughter Melihà as both her room was the nearest and he knew his wife would never forgive him if he did not save her. Afterwards, it was sadly too late for the rest of the family.

In the same night, Frederico decided to bring Melihà out of the country. He did so by ship, smuggling her on one with the help of some contacts. He tried buying her some time, blurring her path and the future plans for her.

So with a burn scar across her belly, which got treated on the ship, Melihà was brought to Japan and was taken in by her uncle Fabio, who was living alone, making a living out of teaching kendo, thus ended up training her in kendo and organized a ju-juitsu teacher as she requested.

Because of the mafia agent following them to Japan, they were forced to move as often as they could, eventually this hunt was stopped as they got tracked down by the agent, who tried to assassinate her and Fabio.Melihà, who grew up to a strong woman, got away with a scarred cheek and a major shock as the agent was disguised as her teacher. It was the first time she witnessed a death as the agent was shot by Fabio.

From that day on, beside of a growing trust issue and gaining her second, more common name 'Mars', standing for the roman god of war as she sees herself as a warrior, they did not manage to really settle down just yet, even after she got accepted onto the Ouran Academy, thanks to the financial help of her father. The shock is still there, even if you might not notice it. The fear is also still there, that's why Mars is trying not to get too close to anyone.
