Cora had been feeling restless, it was the weekend and all she had been doing so far was staying at home. She was getting tired of her step dad who could never seem to get the hint to leave her alone. Her step siblings of course where around but wanted nothing to do with her she nothing to do with them. And as much as the staff where sometimes fun to talk to she needed get out and go somewhere. A good place to go would be the farm it was a relaxing and peaceful place. But Cora was in the mood for some eating. So she put on her coat and shoes and headed out the door. "" I'm headed out will be back home whenever." Cora said as she left. She did not know where she wanted to go just anywhere out of the mansion was fine. Cora walked around town watching as many other people walked the streets. Cora could soon smell scent of food in the air, she knew she was now getting close to restaurants. Cora kept on walking as she tried to decide where she wanted to eat. She was not really in the mood for a full out meal so a snack would do. Soon her eyes fell on a cute cafe. Yeah that would do, she then went in and ordered a drink and a slice of cake. Sweets where always a good thing. Once she got her drink and cake Cora sat down, she then took a bite of her cake and smiled at the taste. Jesus, shouldn't moms normally yell at you for not doing your work? Well, apparently not, since her mother complaining about her not having enough friends had gotten to a daily thing. And now, the only thing the Lobelia student could do was go to a cafe, spend her time there doing some school papers that she had kind of hidden in her purse and then say that yes, she did go to a cafe and yes, she did socialize. It was kind of sad, actually, thinking as to how the girl actually had no friends. Or maybe one or two, who never really wanted to go out. From this perspective, it was weird; In middle school, she used to be a social butterfly. Then she kind of started to turn into a workaholic and...yeah. But frankly, she didn't mind. She didn't have too many school years left anyway. Entering the cafe swiftly, Ririchiyo sat down at a nearby empty table. She didn't even bother to check if she knew anyone around; She simply sat down, ordered a cup of hot chocolate and took her papers out of the bag. Now she only had to try and concentrate with that loud music playing in the background." Cora soon brought out her cell phone that was a touch screen, yet another one of the gifts her Step Dad got her in order to buy her love. Or so Cora thought anyway, She then started to play some of the games that where on it. She heard the door open and a girl walked in. Cora looked up as it always seems when you enter a place everyone seems to look up to see who it is. Cora's eyes followed the girl till she sat down and started to work on some sort of paper work. Cora shrugged as she went back to playing her games. She would take a few more bites out of her cake and sip her drink. Listening to the music of the cafe and the murmurers of people also talking in the background. The door would open and close with people coming and going chatting with friends and family. Cora did her best to ignore that as stuff like that was always painful to watch... Mostly because it brought back the memories of when her Mother and Father where still together and the outings they went on as family. And the fact that Cora had chased away all her childhood friends and to this day did not have any close friends.. Not that she want out of her way to make any new ones anyway. Just served as a reminder how lonely she was even though she just put on a brave face, The door opened again though this time it was someone she knew, Cora! Is that you?? Oh my gosh its been ages!" The girl said. Cora froze as she looked up, It was Maria Rose. Cora went a little pale not all that to thrilled to see a child hood friend. But she forced herself to smile Oh she would just have to get through this most likely awkward encounter.. Maria then sat down at the same table with a huge smile as if she was very happy to have run into Cora. " Last time we saw each other was middle school! Where have you been hiding?" Maria asked her eyes brimming with happiness. Cora sighed, why did this have to happen? Well she had nothing to hide so.. " Well we are going to different schools now. I started going to ouran highschool." Cora said. Maria's eyes grew wide with amazement "Oh my gosh!! the rich people school!!? You can only get in there with top grades or if you are rich enough to get in! Did your Mom remarry??" she asked she leaned in closer. Cora just gave a nod in response, Oh wow!! That is soo cool! Good for her!" Maria gushed. Ok it was getting time to end this.. It was just to painful and it was clear Maria was trying to connect with her again.. Cora was not ready for that just yet. ""Y-yeah.. Maria listen I would like to be alone now if you don't mind..." Cora said rather bluntly. Maria fell silent at that and looked a little saddened. " Bushing me away again huh? Fine... When you get done playing lone wolf you know where to find me.." Maria said as she then got up and walked away. Cora looked down at her lap, "Sorry Maria.." Cora whispered as she then took a bit out of her cake but for some reason it was not as sweet as it was before. Ririchiyo Noritada |
