i am your problem Hitachiin Yuzuha was the only exception. Yes, she was the ONLY exception for Kiori. A sigh left the brunette’s lips as she observed all of the people surrounding the cat walk. There were so many people that would be watching the show. Sure she had more than enough experience from her past to do this, but to actually be walking in a fashion show? God this was like walking through the flames of hell for her. She dreaded nothing more, but Yuzuha was a friend. She wouldn’t turn her down in her time of need. Having two models not show up would be a nightmare for any designer about to premiere a new winter collection.
”Kiori! You’re up in the make-up chair! Hurry!” She could hear her manager screaming for her as she moved away from the stage. Here goes nothing. She quickly maneuvered her way through the many models getting ready for the show that would be starting in just a few hours. This chaos was a part of her DNA. She was involved in it all before she even could walk, but now this was more than too much for the pop idol. She sat in the make-up and waited for the torture to end. So much heavy make-up was terrible for her skin, but it was a necessary evil in this industry…just like the fact that she was currently starving and could go for a cheeseburger or something.
Once she was finished with the make-up it was off to hair. Nothing like having her strands ripped out at the root, though she had to admit that the curls were kind of cute. Hey she didn’t like being a living Barbie doll, but it was a necessary evil. Once those tortures were done she decided to try and escape, just long enough to stuff her face! Though her attempts were only destined to be fooled by a familiar auburn boy currently blocking her exit route. Though she was too excited to care as she pounced on the Hitachiin twin. ”Kaoru-kun! I’m happy to see you, but if you don’t move I will eat you alive! I’m starving.”

feel the light shining in the dark of the night | Kaoru huffed, looking around the dimly lit room. Everyone was getting ready, putting make-up on and whatnot, so of course that there were a lot of lights, but they would barely reach until the entrance, so taking in the view was kind of hard. Basically the problem here wasn't the general idea of going to a fashion show that caused him displeasure, since he was used to that ever since he was young, oh no, the problem here was Hikaru's absence.
Yep, you read that right, Kaoru was out in public without his brother and he was anxious as hell. It wasn't that he was dependent on his twin, he was simply used to the other's presence. And the lack of it was becoming more unsettling with the second.
Why had Hikaru even stayed home, first of all? Well, he had gotten himself a cold. And Kaoru wanted to take care of him, c'mon, they're brothers, for fuck's sake! But then his mother almost set it into stone that there will be at least two children of hers to the show, so she ended up dragging an unwilling Kaoru and an excited Yuzuha to a catwalk. The orange-haired boy kind of just stood there in displeasure, walking around while trying to suppress his need of causing mischief.
But, right as he was about to get out of yet another boring room, someone pounced on him. They literally pounced. And he had a feeling he knew who this was.
"Kaoru-kun! I’m happy to see you, but if you don’t move I will eat you alive! I’m starving.”
...Yep, totally her. Kiori Kikuyama. He kind of knew her ever since he was young, since their parents worked both in the fashion field - She would usually help if it got boring, if the twins let her, that is. There were days when they'd isolate themselves and wouldn't talk to her whatever happened - They just loved being alone I guess. She didn't tell them apart from the beginning and Kaoru wasn't fully sure she could even now, but he wouldn't comment on anything as long as it kept him busy.
"Ne, Kiori-chan, wouldn't that be bad for your health though? You gotta keep fit and all, so eating me is a no-no", he joked, a teasing tone in his voice. Maybe she'd keep him busy until he had to go back home. Then he'd throw her away like one of the usual toys. Probably.

i am your problem Kiori loved spending time with the Hitachiin twins, they were always so amusing to her. Ever since they would be forced to spend time together as children, though there were times that they would be rather cold and cruel to her…the girl wasn’t one to give up easily. Even now she still sucked at the games they would play, but it wasn’t an accidental thing. No after knowing them for so long she could tell the difference, hell she had two identical twin brothers herself. Though, it may be better for those two twins to break out of their little world themselves right? She was certain that they would once they found the right reason to do so.
She smiled brightly at the auburn as she release him from her grip and fell off the first year’s back. She landed gracefully in her heels when her feet touched the ground and crossed her arms. ”If I worried about my weight then I wouldn’t be about to go out for a cheeseburger or something. I haven’t had anything since lunch yesterday. I’m sure you would be a perfectly lean meat anyway.” Her smile shifted into a coy smirk as she grabbed the younger boy’s arm and dragged him along with her. ”You may as well come with me, since there is still plenty of time to kill before the show starts. I heard Hikaru isn’t feeling well, I’m shocked you left his side today.” It seemed that this little adventure wasn’t going to be very optional for Kaoru.
”How’s school going? Any cute girls that have your attention yet?” The brunette looked at Kaoru. She was only a little bit older than the twins when it came to age, perhaps a few months? Though she was a grade ahead of them at Lobelia. In all honesty she knew more about their school activities than she would ever reveal. As the president of the White Lily League, she was very observant about the competition. Though, she left her school activities at school and her work activities at work. Few really knew what she did when she was behind the school walls, the twins certainly didn’t know. Though she felt the need to look after them at least a bit.

Kaoru could only chuckle slightly at that, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly. Awkwardness was never something the twin was acquainted to, since he had never had any problems with talking. If his brother was around, that is. But now, he was just kind of looking at the girl, not sure about what to say and what not to. The girl, however, had other plans apparently, as she caught his arm and dragged him along. Did she want him to go with her or something?

"Yeah, Hikaru is pretty ill.", Kaoru mumbled, looking at his feet. A hint of bitterness could be felt in his tone, probably since he had wanted to stay at home. Although he usually didn't mind not being around his brother - they were separate people, after all -, knowing Hikaru was sick and he couldn't be there to help felt simply wrong. Yeah, he had the maids to help him out, but what was the other twin feeling if his own brother couldn't be there? The two had been always together for a long while, so of course that just randomly separating like that was not really what Kaoru had wanted. But whatever, I guess.
"But I'm up for some hamburgers, of course!", he grinned, trying to look as convincing as possible. He wouldn't spoil Kiori's mood just because of his own problems. He was selfish, but not that selfish. So for now he just had to act like nothing really bothered him.
”How’s school going? Any cute girls that have your attention yet?”
At that, Kaoru just decided to stare at the girl blankly. Haruhi passed through his mind, but that was actually who his brother had liked. But no, he actually had not met any girls that had his attention - Truth to be told, he hadn't had actual relationships before - Yes, maybe a passing crush or something similar? But an actual girlfriend? Not really. His brother and him had just been together for way too long and their walls had been high up for even longer, so every confession received had not been spared one chance.
"Not really", he said, not too much emotion in his tone. He just seemed not to care at the moment, which kind of described it. He was happy with the host club, so why need anything else?

i am your problem Kiori was pleased to see the Host’s smile. Though she could see the emotions hidden behind it as well. Kaoru was worried for his brother, it was only natural since they were family. Still no matter how hard they worked to keep their little world shut, someday a person would come crashing in and blow it wide open so that they could never close those doors again. From what she could tell though that person was just beginning to make a real impact on them. ”It’s okay to be concerned you know. He’s your brother, so I understand. It’s not about the fact that you two are twins that you want to be together 24/7. It’s the fact that you both watch out for each other and love one another as a family.”
She smiled softly and pulled the auburn with her as she raced out the exit of the building and onto the sidewalk. The streets were alive with traffic and pedestrians on the street. She inhaled the crisp fall and laughed softly. This was her kind of setting, being out on the street with a friend was a rare thing for her. Hell most of the time she would have to dodge paparazzi and a million fans just to get to a local store. Though from what she could tell the sidewalk was clear. Though the celebrities had yet to arrive outside of the few models that would be walking on the runway.
The pop start thought about what Kaoru said when she mentioned girls, no more specifically she thought about how he said it. The tone he used was one of a person who really didn’t care, like it was just another toy. She sighed softly. Of course the twins were notorious for playing around with people, she was no exception. She watched them and studied their actions though, they were two different people, but were always treated like one unit. It must have been frustrating growing up. ”I haven’t modeled for over a year. I’m a little nervous about it Kaoru-kun. I never imagined I would end up back here to help your mother after everything mine put me through. Have you considered what you want to do after school yet?”
