Oh where to begin, where to begin? Well, at first glance Valerie might seem like a sophisticated young lady who was raised to act like such. Well, you’re close. For the most part, Valerie is very well-mannered and polite. At least, that’s what she appears to be. In reality, Valerie has a very fiery temper and a very sassy attitude, making her a very audacious person.
Valerie has been known to become violent if provoked, though recently she learned to control her temper better, and resorts to more… passive aggressive means. She can sometimes be brash, overbearing, brutally honest, and seeming to lack any form of impulse control, but ultimately Valerie is all bark and no bite. However, anything she says when she’s upset should never be taken to heart; she simply yells out empty threats as an attempt at scaring people.
Nevertheless, beneath layers of violence and passive-aggression, lies a very sweet girl. Deep down, Valerie is a very kind-hearted, loving, and protective girl; she will do anything to save those she cares for, no matter the cost.
However, due to Valerie’s hostile tendencies, when she started to date Akira, she quickly became the jealous-type, taking an immediate disliking to anyone he flirted with- male or female.

HISTORY
Born on November 8 in the States to a middle class Japanese father and American mother, Valerie spent her childhood traveling between the two countries of her heritage, trying to learn and understand the customs of each. Constantly traveling was stressful on the family, especially for their young daughter. Which could be one of the reasons little Valerie was extremely aggressive. She would constantly pick fights with her classmates, often for no reason .
Finally deciding to settle down, the family moved one final time to Japan. By this time Valerie was 10 and her parents had gotten the girl some anger management. Though, even after switching schools a few times, making friends didn’t come easily to the young girl, which then left her to be alone frequently and developing a large bubble of personal space. Thankfully, everyone seemed to respect her space.
Everyone that is, except Akira Himura. Taking an immediate disliking to the boy, Valerie did her best to ignore him. However, after Akira repeatedly pestered her, Valerie had no choice but to pay attention to him; thankfully for her, paying attention to him didn’t mean she had to do it nicely. For a while, both Valerie and Akira were mean to each other, constantly arguing and fighting. But, eventually the two became the best of friends, and practically inseparable.
After certain “events” took place, Valerie only held onto her friend tighter, trying to protect him from everything and everyone. Eventually, their already strong bond became even stronger when they started dating. Unfortunately, parents will do what parents do best: find a reason to keep them from seeing each other. Even though she didn’t approve of his flirting with others or his teasing to her, Valerie still loves him and continues to date him in secret.
