AGE: 16
CLASS: 2nd Year/A-2
GENDER: Female
SEXUALITY: Bisexual
SCHOOL: Ouran Academy
PERSONALITY
Suzume is typically a very quiet individual. She likes to be in places where she can hide and avoid, or blend in with the crowd. This is a tactic that tends to be her specialty when it comes to keeping away from unnecessary stressors. In truth people tend to scare the living daylight out of her. She is terrible at making friends and likes to shy away from others. She prefers to think of herself as more of a lover than a fighter, which is quite ironic since one of her biggest passions is Martial Arts. She is perfectly content curling up with a book and a piece of cake though as well. Still when spoken to she tries her best to be a cheerful and friendly individual, as long as the person is willing to be patient with her while she struggles to find her words. In certain circumstances she can honestly be considered a selective mute. It is quite easy for the tiny five feet tall girl to become frustrated though, but when those emotions arise she is more likely to take her frustrations out on herself than anyone else, such as banging her head on her desk when she can't think of a word.

HISTORY
TRIGGER WARNING: SELF-HARM
Suzume Akahana was a girl not born with money and wealth. Her father was a military instructor specializing in hand to hand combat while her mother was a struggling actress. The pair seemed to be an odd match, but it somehow worked for the both of them in the beginning. Suzu was brought into the world just a short year after the two were married, though shortly after their small child came into the world the couple’s life seemed to go on the rocks. The earliest memories that she has are of her parents fighting. Her father had a very bad temper and her mother was the type to keep pushing issues over and over again even after the situations were assumed to be handled and over with. The situation in her home became very stressful for the young girl and certainly shaped her own perspective of herself.
Her mother’s dreams of acting came true though when Suzu was at the age of four. The stroke of luck opened up a number of opportunities for the young family of three. Her father’s career seemed to take off as well since he was promoted multiple times during her childhood, though with the rise in rank came more responsibility as well. For both parents they were often forced to leave their child in the care of family and later on the hired help once the money seemed to come rolling in. After her parents became successful the girl never wanted for anything. She was able to earn the best education possible, her schooling started out in Lobelia Academy, but transferred to Ouran during her middle school years.
At school her life was pure hell. She was bullied relentlessly by many of the female students. Though her family was wealthy, it was only among the lower end of the spectrum in the status of wealthy families that influenced the school. She found herself alone and without friends. It also didn’t help that she was already incredibly shy and fighting her own internal battles. Her breaking point came when she was in the third year of her middle school education. Suzume put so much pressure on herself to be perfect and to help keep her parents happy, but the fighting started again between them when her father began struggling with his work. It resulted in her mother filing for divorce. Her parents split up shortly after. Suzu snapped the day she was forced to move out of the childhood home she had always known. Locked away in her new bedroom within her mother’s new home she began the act of self-harm by cutting her upper thighs.
The feeling of pain that coursed through her body with each draw of the blade brought forward a sense of release for the troubled young teen. This became almost a daily ritual for her for months. Though once her mother discovered what was happening to her child Suzu was quickly admitted for psychological evaluation. The teen was diagnosed with severe depression and for a while put on medications to help with her issues, as well she was forced to attend therapy appointments, and to help her establish a better footing in the social spectrum her mother enrolled her in extracurricular activities, the ones that Suzu decided to stick with was that of Martial Arts. She found a love for them, Karate and Judo being her favorite forms of training. Eventually after over a year of being medicated the then first year high school student was taken off the medication for depression. Since then she has been struggling to gain a sense of normalcy and to reestablish her emotional stability. Though her grades continue to be among the upper portion of those in her grade level, she still struggles to socialize and make friends beyond her activities in the Karate and Judo clubs.
